Necessary Appendix, 1985, exhibition project with performance installation

This is a video documentation of Lynn Book performing 2 contiguous pieces for the exhibition, Necessary Appendix, 1984. Book switches from performing a ‘docent tour’ of the 4-person exhibition, within which her installation, Every Now and Again was exhibited, to performing in that installation (at 17:15) before returning to her ‘docent tour’. Book collaborated with 3 other artists to create the concept and proposal for the exhibition which was awarded a curation slot in the School of the Art Institute Gallery series. The artists were Mary Brogger, Keven Henry and Ian Schneller, primarily known for their sculpture works.
