<text>
This audio work was recorded and edited by Lynn Book for the multimedia project, “SongSpot” within the context of an artist residency and invitational for ArtStays 10, an international festival for contemporary art in Ptuj, Slovenia in 2010. It played during the course of the exhibition installation in the medieval town core. The process involved accumulated field audio recordings, image gathering and material construction each day to develop an imprint of concentrated spots – public, private, forgotten, silent and full of becoming. Viewers to the exhibition were invited to exchange songs for spots cut from the fabric of clothes they were wearing, or from other clothing donated by the local tailor. More can be found at the “SongSpot” installation project. Return to Audio Works
</text>
