This final performance of Lynn Book’s multimedia performance, Gorgeous Fever was directed by Valeria Vasilevski and occurred at The Kitchen, NYC, 1997. Since the early 90s, Book had become known as a vocal artist and composer within the context of new music and club venues. The introduction of musicians, she called the Gorgeous Fever Trio, performed onstage with Book. ‘Baroque cabaret drama’ was deployed to try and capture the convergence of several genres, styles and approaches for this last project iteration. Anney Bonney shot and edited this 9-minute video documentation.
