This video documents three compositions by Lynn Book for voice, electronics and sound effects, performed at CBGB’s Gallery, December, 2000. These short works were part of a longer evening of short works by participants in the Loop Group, a performance production workshop that Book established as part of Voicelab, an innovative education and culture center dedicated to expansive practice and performance of voice. She included a version of “Felicita”, based on a 1960s pop song by Italian icon, Mina, which was commissioned by the Snowdonia label, Messina, Italy. A studio recording of “E Se Domani / Felicita” was included on a curated collection of women composers. Running time is 17min, 16 seconds.
